I Think I Have Found Bandster Hell

Yep, I think I am there. I am not feeling much restriction and my first fill of 1 CC only helped momentarily. I am relying on my own will power and that seems to be fading lately. I am tired of "being good" and playing by the rules. I have been doing some occasional snacking and I have been eating a few less than nutritious foods. Mind you I haven't fallen completely off the wagon, but wow, it's a little scary to think of the damage I could do given the right situation. I am not due back at my surgeons office until August for my second fill. Does that sound right? I thought 6 months was a little long.

Hey followers, how long was it between your fills? My weight loss has come to a stand still and sometimes I feel like I don't even have a band. Just feeling a little discouraged this month after a month of very slow weight loss and several ups and downs. As it stands right now I have only lost 3 pounds for the month of February. I'll take any loss, but I was hoping to do a little better than that.

  3. That really is too long to wait for your 2nd fill. Maybe after you hit your sweet spot you'd go in after 6 months but my fills were 2-3 weeks apart until I felt I was at good restriction.

  5. My fills are anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks apart when I was really ramping up to restriction. I've maybe 7 fills (I lost count), but it took my a lot of fill to get restriction.
To be honest there's no way a could go 6 months without a fill - you definitely need to follow up with them.

  6. you should be able to get another fill after a few weeks. especially with such a conservative first fill. insist on it or go elsewhere. what are you supposed to do suffer and battle hunger for the next 6 months? you already spent your whole life doing that and that is why you got surgery to end that torture. my doctor always tells me after a fill if that isnt enough come back.

  7. I agree with the others. 6 months is wayyy too long unless you are at your sweet spot! I can get Fills somewhere between 3-6 wks apart. A lot of others can get them as often as 2 wks apart! I would definitely call and find out why you are to wait for 6 months!!!

  8. I just had my surgery yesterday and my doctor told me that he went ahead and put 2 cc's in my band, so I don't know how that is going to work for me suffering through the "bandster hell" before my follow up appointment on March 17th. I wish you the best and just keep strong. You will be fine...I just know it!
