I managed to get chocolate milk down for breakfast and some coffee later in the morning. Lunch was very tolerable, I made a batch of really, really soft mashed potatoes and they went down well. It felt good to have something substantial. I am going to continue the rest of the weekend on full liquids and super soft stuff. I am hoping that I am doing the right things to help my band heal. On a positive note, the scale went down a pound to 218. But the misery is not worth the pound!
but since you are stuck in the misery of the tights, take the pound as a consolation prize.
ReplyDeleteGoof thinking! :)
DeleteDo you know if your doctor put in any fluid during surgery? I heard some doctors put as much as 4 cc's in a 10cc band. Mine didn't put anything in. Initially, I wasn't able to tolerate much for the first 2-3 weeks, but after that, that's when the "bandster hell" kicked in. I have been going through that for approximately 4 months now, but I think I finally might be near my "green zone" as I am feeling pretty good after eating small portions. I am happy though, cause I seem to still be able to eat bread...hope that continues. I don't eat a lot of it, but would like an occasional sandwich or piece of a burger :) Good luck!
