Like Night and Day

Well, I skipped my final two doses of the medicine that was driving me crazy. I feel like a completely different person this afternoon. I actually had the patience to help my brother decorate gingerbread cookies for several hours this afternoon. Although it was odd not to take a bite of cookie, I must admit I did lick the frosting off my finger a time or two. Even now, just sitting in my chair this afternoon I feel like I am so much more calm.

Sort of makes me mad that either the docs or the pharmacist wouldn't think about that drug interaction, I found the information readily available on several trusted websites. Oh well, guess it goes to show that you need to listen to your own body, you know best when something doesn't feel right. Perhaps I will actually get a decent night's sleep tonight. I'd do anything to sleep in until 7:00 or 8:00 AM.

  1. What is unfortunate is that many meds interact with one another and if we looked at EVERY interaction, several meds could not be safely given together. Also, if you look up almost every medication, you'll find that there is a long list of the "usual" side effects which almost always include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, etc. Reglan is a great med to stimulate your bowels and I wish that I would have been offered that as well. Hope you are feeling better soon!

  2. So glad that you appear to have figured out your problem! I hope this gives you a good nights sleep!!

If only that were my problem, I do have Restless Leg Syndrome as one of my many problems & without certain meds, I have a difficult time sleeping at all!

Sleep well tonight!! Let us know how it goes tonight.

  3. I'm glad you are feeling better! That must have been really unpleasant!

It is important to listen to your body and double check your doctors...no matter how good dr's are, you have to be the one ultimately responsible for your health.
